Sliding shower doors are a great improvement over a curtain, but what if you need to remove them for cleaning?
Steps
- Look at the bottom track. It is an extruded aluminum rail. The edge that is inside of the shower is probably shorter than the outside edge of the track.
- Look at the top track. The top of the door should have wheels that ride against the top shower rail.
- Stand inside the shower.
- Grasp the near door with both hands and lift door. The bottom of the door will lift high enough to clear the inside edge of the track.
- Lean bottom of door towards you as top of door remains in top track.
- Lower door to clear top track. You have removed the door.
